Has anyone tried staying overnight at the NEC?  The campsites in the area wil not take our motorhome as it is too big.  We have several friends from Europe who have also been refused campsite places as their units are over 24 ft.  Last few years I noticed some motorhomes very early on who looked like they had been there all night.

Hiya - We also had this problem, we ended up staying in a hotel but the NEC is on a big business park and therefore I think it would be relatively easy to park it somewhere closeish by. In hindsight I would probably risk it or at the very worst you could pay to enter one of the hotel car parks or the airport (5 mins away in a cab)

I read notices forbidding overnight parking in the NEC car parks in the past, haven't a full schedule this time.

You could probably stay in the hotel car parks, they are not just for residents as they are car parks you pay to use.

I think the Crown Plaza car park has the most room (if i remember correctly)

No over night parking allowed at the NEC but how about a Truck stop or something similar?

There are a couple of places you can stay over, just off the M42 J6 :-)
