My 8 month lab is limping on his right front paw. I had him to the Vet 3 times, they checked him out gave some tablets and said don't exercise him to much only let him walk this we did for a month and are still doing, but no change, then we had him x-raid the Vets could not find anything wrong with him, his x-ray was supposedly fine, they had 3 vets looking at the x-ray. What now my dog still limps, some days more than others or if he plays around with other dogs for a while by the time we get home he limps a lot more please has someone any idea what it could be as the vets don't seem to know.

Hi Nick, your vets could be correct, especially if the x-rays show nothing untoward.. We do need to be careful with Labs, and know that they come with a possible history of OCD and HD.. at least you know that this is not the case..
You do need to stop him from playing with other dogs completely.. you are not helping the healing process, and possibly aggravating it.. I am in a similar situation with 2 of my youngsters.. both favouring right legs.. one of them, I have no idea what happened, but the other one I saw the event that caused it.. and it was simply rough play.. one of my girls took a huge body slam from another dog, and has been limping for the last two weeks, occassionally it seems to get better, but after playing it is very noticable.. so she is now seperated and taking a great deal of crate rest..
It may be something like a bruised muscle, which takes time to heal, but if aggravated can take such a long time.. up to 8weeks, so dont be impatient, allow her as much confined rest as possible, and absolutely no free play with other dogs... dont throw balls for her etc.. just gentle floor play and cuddles..
there is also the possibility of it being Panosteitis, but x-rays would have shown a higher bone density perhaps..
