What exactly is happening? What day and where?

I must of understood it wrong as I thought the 3 breeders that had qualified in my breed were to battle it out at Crufts........then the winner would compete in the working group...........then all the groups winners would compete for a best breeder in show type of thing?

Friday. It's not done via groups, all 56 qualifiers are judged together. Read here:

Think it is done in groups as it's in two rings, sure that in the KC pull out for Crufts in DW it showed which were the qualifiers and the order that they were in??? Will have a look later.
If I wanted a Poodle, OES, TT or IWS I would have bought one. SWD's shd. be natural and rustic. No

Could you have a look?  Want to know which ring my "other" breed is in please so I can tell a friend who will be there.

I'm part of one of the teams.
Breeders are being prejudged in hall 5 rings 35 (and the one next to it 34 I think!)  Being prejudged in groups of 8.  They have said we are in 3 groups, but not being judged on group system.  Judge will form their decision.  Then off to the main ring at half five, all 56 teams go in and the winners are announced.  266 dogs in the big ring at once...should be interesting!  Shame, I think this competition would really take off if they did it on the group system, not the ridiculous way they've done it for 2010.

Maybe they will learn from it and change the format for 2011 to be done in Groups.
Best of luck Henrieke :-)

PS it's rings 35 & 36 (I am in those rings on Thursday)

Has anyone got a link for the breeders class results?

I had a look at Fosse and the Crufts site links but can't find these results anywhere.  I'd also like to hear how it went, so if anyone was entered or managed to watch ringside...

Many thanks

I asked them and they said that they hadn't been given the details by the organisers so couldn't post it.

Personally I didn't enjoy the day, I know they had alot to organise, and there were a huge number of dogs to organise but it was a nightmare!  Times kept changing, we had to move from morning benching in hall 5 to afternnon benching in hall 1- where there wasn't enough room so we camped out on the floor.  We were called to the main ring half an hour before we were told to be back, I had just arrived after exercising my bitch but the other handlers had grabbed the free hour to go shopping.  I was told to get in line regardless so had to stand there in a panic with all 4 dogs not knowing how long the other handlers had to turn up before we were pushed in to the main ring.  It turned out to be 40 mins!  Which I have to say 4 x 56 dogs stood in a tight line in a narrow corridor for that long demonstrated fantastic temperments.  Everyone made an effort with matching clothes, even some national dress, and kept in good spirits.
The Tonkory Border Collies won for the second year, I'd have to check the other places, we were marched out the ring so couldn't see.  I just felt so sorry for the GWP handler who fell when moving the dog.  Cant believe she kept showing with a nose bleed!
