I am getting excited now and have started my shopping list this morning.
I have been going to Crufts as an observer since I was around 19 years old and saved the bus fare from Glasgow as I didn't drive. Although I qualified last year I didn't go as I felt my wee girl wasn't good enough so this is my first time showing there and I am soooooo excited!

Took the car in for MOT this morning - fingers crossed not much needs doing, as I need it back for Sat and any repair costs will come out of my spending money! Good Luck all XX

I`m showing at crufts for the first time this year and so far it has been a bit like this....panic....excited...panic...excited..panic...panic.... breath into paper bag....excited....and back to panic again lol

Im nervous now, thats our ring.

I'm taking my daughter this year & she's going to be handling my girl in two classes.  She's only 7 & I did wonder if I was doing the right thing, but she has worked so hard to get a very clingy "mummy's girl" to pay attention to her - she's also braved the elements on shoot days with said dog!  The best thing about it is, I haven't told my daughter she is going to Crufts, let alone handling.  Can't wait to see her face

Gonna take a chainsaw to my newfie's coat later on tonight to thin it out abit, he looks like a grizzley at the moment!!

Good Luck everyone!! I've already started having my usual pre-Crufts dreams where I've forgotten the dogs, can only remember handling one in the ring etc, I actually wake up in a cold sweat before realising I haven't been yet. My other half thinks I'm mad lol

Lol biffsmum! I still remember the night before a summer holiday where I dreamed Henry had won the DCC, we were just going in to challenge for BOB when the alarm went off!!

I just hope my superdog behaves himself - he was an absolute star last weekend and only got 6th, so it's not a good sign.....

I'll be there this year watching and shopping, qualified for next !

Not going this year as KC is not allowing youngster to show again after his knee op, so much for qualifying at his first show!
Dog usually shown in Gamekeepers has just had surgery to remove blockage and has just come through that so he cannot go either.
At least I can watch it on TV and dream!!

good luck everyone, I;m there showing on thursday and back with my gundog friends on sunday........really nervous about showing(again) but soooo looking forward to sunday, theres only 1 year out of 4 that I can go to working an gundog-and this is the year yippeeee

Everything is now ready, apart from our food and drink.
Van is filled up with diesel, water and oil checked, clean bedding in. Dogs bag packed.
Just got to get through work today and an early night tonight.
Showing the bulies tomorrow and going up on Saturday to watch the pugs and do the shopping. Can't wait.

Hope everyone has a great time at crufts.  I'm taking four dogs and thankfully meeting my daughter there so help is at hand for loo breaks and shopping.  Not looking forward to the drive down but as is usual once you get in the halls you forget how tired you are.

I'm getting ready now too. Dog coat, bed, towel etc all washed. Bench guard, bowls, leads, poop bags all ready.
Going out to get OH a new shirt and tie today and will get bait and packed lunch stuff on Friday!!!! EXCITED NOW

Well dog groomed and washed, car packed with doggie things (How is it dogs need so much stuff!) just me for the shower then pack my (Tiny) bag, and then we shall be off, thank goodness for the sunny day...makes driving so much better. Hope to see some of you there. Good luck to all.

My dreams started last night. The one where I got lost in the NEC, which is stupid because I know exactly where to go because we are in the same place every year! (in the door on the left, turn right, up the slope and to the back left corner of hall 4! Simple) Still not sure if I have one or two girls going, curse split seasons! Shes showing signs of stopping and no where near ovulating. Maybe she heard me say I was going to leave her at home!
My 'adoptive children' (Huskies) are in the ring today so rather nervous even tho Im not there. They were looking lovely when they left after grooming yeseterday......but can they stay clean??
