apparently the peak handler left the ring as he was ill. very sorry and all that but couldnt the next peke winner take his place? its as though all the pekes neednt have shown up today!

No u can't do that but what a shame that no-one cd. handle it for them. Ho9pe the owners OK.
If I wanted a Poodle, OES, TT or IWS I would have bought one. SWD's shd. be natural and rustic. No

THey've just shown the toy group and the Peke was being handled by a woman!

sorry could have been a woman! anyway, they left the ring

I stayed to watch the group and thought it sad that no other handler volunteered to show the dog- In saying that maybe they did and it wasn't possible for some reason. Sad though to get so far and then have to stop
Ann Marie

Certainly anyone in our breed would have volunteered to handle a fellow exhibitors dog.

The trouble with Pekes, unfortunately, is that they are reluctant to show at the best of times.Every Peke handler holds their breath hoping their little darling doesnt drop its tail.
I would have thought that there was a high probability it might only walk with its owner. Shame though for the owner.
Maybe by the time they were in the collecting ring, there were no other Peke exhibitors around?

I don't think they would have held up the group to allow for a new handler to be found, the peke made it into the ring with a male handler, and then left before being seen, there was jsut a quick announcement made that it's handler had to retire due to feeling extremely unwell.
