There is an article in local paper this
week(frontpage) saying that
Newark is expecting a gathering of between 800
and 1000 travellers on the 4th
and 5th of August, all police leave in the
county has been cancelled and
several 25 man riot squads have been draughted
into the area. The council and
police have asked the home secretary to grant an
order banning them from our
town. Anyone in the area including Lincoln
please look after your dogs next
weekend, please do not leave them unattended
anywhere, we have read enough
horror stories on this list to know better.
Everyone else think about where
they will turn up if they can't get into Newark
(

and dog folk in UK. There are loads of thefts in our area at present,
mainly gun dogs. A traveller camp in Bristol was recently raided and they
found 50 pedigree dogs crated and drugged and set to go to Ireland!*****

on the field between the garden centre and the amenity site in Bexhill Road,
St. Leonards. Trouble is already brewing over their activities.*****

******Take into account that THREE of the bulldogs stolen so far this year

Thanks for the warning, I expect there will be dog shows at the showground and not only dogs may be at risk, so may the cars. Unfortunatly there has been a problem with cars broken into before.
