If it's for at home, I would fix a piece of kitchen work top to the wall with a batten and then use 2 wardrobe hanging rails for the legs at the front.  Much cheaper, more steady and can be made to exactly the right height and depth (most tables are too deep for smaller dogs) for you. :-)

If you're going to take loads of stuff, bench panel, chair, large show bag, then it would help to have a tabke with wheels.  I don't take a table but use a luggage trolley and tie everything on with bungees!  I've seen others strap the small grooming tables on them too.........
What breed are you showing?

Ah you definitely need one then! :-)

You'll probably need one that takes a crate with wheels, other wise you'll  have to carry dog under arm!
When I showed an Affenpinscher, I had a stroller that carried a fabric crate on the top which could be detached and used on the bench and room for another dog (or 2!) in the fabric 'basket' that was permanently fixed underneath.  The crate also had a rubber board that sat on top and I could use for grooming.  It was only £30 for the whole thing bought at Richmond Champ show and was light and easy to store at home.  I can't find anything that at the moment - they all look like prams and don't have flat topped crates! :-(

If you buy a table with wheels, make sure that they a re BIG wheels - small ones don't like the rough terrain at show grounds. :-(  You'd be best to look at the trade stands at Champ Shows. :-)

Are you anywhere near Sussex??

i went to crufts on saturday (very tiring) BUT LOVED IT.
i was looking around there at the stalls and saw some things that would have 'done the job' but as im new to all this the last thing i wanted to do was spend money on something that was completly wrong.my friend i went with was by the scnauzers all day so was all alone to watch the poodles being judged in peice and quiet and spoke to some really nice people who were waiting to go in or just come out,one lady was really nice and spoke to me for ages so i really cant wait to get started so i want the correct equipment.

will be taking a folding chair of my own next year.LOL.

BIG WHEELS!!  That's not a bad drive is it?
I was shocked when I looked at the price of the lightweight tables £80+!!!

I loved my little stroller which didn't look like a pram - it looked more like a fabric crate carrier - but I can't find one on the net!

Hi  tamara, Redcape do Tholo show tables and I believe they are on sale, which still makes them very expensive but I bet they last forever
OK, so the cream carpets were a bad idea

Hi have you looked at a Petmobil........I have one for my shih tzu it is perfect. They look like a shopper, but have a secure part to put your dog in and the lid/top is hard, so doubles up as a place to put your stuff on and a grooming table for your dog once at the show. They have big wheels and the whole thing folds up too.
Would be ideal for a toy poodle:)
shih tzu nutter!!!!

Just to add....Im sure this is what Westcoast is talking about, they look much better than a doggy pushchair.
shih tzu nutter!!!!

Mine was a cross between the two Furbaby.  It had mesh storage space underneath with a floor that could have taken 1-2 dogs and a folding crate that fixed on top but could be removed to put on the bench. :-)
Shame - I've sold it to a friend who hasn't used it... :-(

> Hi  tamara, Redcape do Tholo show tables

oooh i have a redcape brochure which i picked up at crufts i bought my show lead from them, and grabbed one then. shall have a look through and if not ill try the net site....

westcoast isnt that the way it goes though, you sell something you think you'll never need again or have use for and then the use appears from no where.
typical....
shall continue on my search ....thank you all.

Depends how much you want to spend- I like Dog show Trolleys.co.uk. His trolleys are robust and can be wheeled into show with dogs inside. They have a great grooming surface on top and are ideal. I have the one the wheels come off so which was great at Crufts as I lifted trolley straight onto bench and stored wheels at the side. They fold flat for travel if needed or can be travelled with dogs inside and lifted onto wheels at showground.
