I recenty lost my beautiful liver flatcoat after almost 9 wonderful years. I got her aged 8 months from FCR rescue in leicester and she had been a wonderful companion. I am now looking for another flatcoat. I have registered once again with breed rescue as my preference is to rehome another dog if possible. I wanted to put a listing on here as i know breeders etc may sometimes hear of dogs needing homes or even have one returned that has not worked out with its new owners. My preference is to get another bitch - ideally up to two years old but i am open minded about this. I have no interest in breeding my dog - just offering another flattie a wonderful home here on the isle of wight.

I'm so sorry you lost your flattie - they are super dogs aren't they? On here, I would say the person most likely to know of anything would be Polly http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/board/user_info.pl?uid=345 - might be worth sending her a message. :-) Good luck.
If life was a Lickathon, flatcoats would win. :-)

thanks, i will check that out. I also recently found some information on the golden irish (retriever/red setter cross) which seems to be a great looking dog. Anyone know much about these?

Hi,

As you have already registered with Dawn I will ask around incase there is anything else that has not as yet come to Dawn attention. I see you are on the Isle of Wight, so wondered if you have tried asking Peggy Miller in Southampton or Rona Dixon again Southampton based. They hear of dogs needing homes from time to time. Do you have any contact details for either of these ladies? If not pm me and I'll send you contact details. There is one other person I can ask and will send you a pm (private message) as soon as I know.

Regards
Polly
