I do not regret one bit agreeing to try out the varifocals.
Have found them BRILLIANT, but I was far too vain to even contemplate Bi-Focals so I was really detemined to get on with them

> Sometimes the frame chosen for the Varifocals isn't quite the right size or shape, too small and they won't work for you
With my first pair, I would take them off while using the computer at work (although if I looked down the office I couldn't see a thing
). I could read perfectly well without them
However, my second pair are much better and stay on all day

> oh dear this getting older is such a pain
My OH is 63 and has worn glasses since he was 20 for distance. A couple of years ago he was told by the optician that he only needs to wear glasses for reading now
Just before this, he took his glasses off one day while driving around the M25 and announced that he could see better without them !! I wasn't happy and told him that he had better go and get his eyes tested before he drove without them
