I have tried (again) to join facebook, but it tells me to use a valid e mail address.  I gave the e mail address that I use every day. what am I doing wrong? anyone?

Does itmean it wants you to validate your e mail? have you checked if they have sent one to your acc to confirm?

I have checked my e mails and dont have any from them.  it just asked me to use a valid e mail address

are you already registered and dont know? Try log in, request password? If not set up a new e mail it only takes a few minutes.

It sounds like a fault on the system then to me.

Can you create a new email address for it?

How do I do this?

Create a new email address either through yahoo or hotmail for example. Have another email address and see if this works. Also handy to have a new one for all your updates through FB, banking and freecycle.
I have 3 now and do need to sort them out, by having 1 for friends and family, 1 for the above and 1 for when i complete competitions online.

My son had this problem initially when he tried to register. It is either a fault on Facebook or their servers are too busy. Would suggest you try later.

Don't put your mobile on as it's available for all to view!

I think they only wanted my mobile on as an alternitive to my e mail.
