I'm very happy about hearing a good friend of mine who has been toying with the idea of allowing her boy to be used .
I've told her soo many times about health tests etc, but she wanted a 'puppy' from her boy, her husband wasn't too enthused either.

Yesterday she told me she read all the links on breeding which I took from the breeding section on ChampDogs and placed on FB and it changed her mind. She has told 2 people that no way would he be used, one was a KC reg GSD and the other a cross breed
She said that she has told these people that all health tests must be done and that there is no way on this earth that any more cross breeds should be bred!!! Very proud of her!!

Well done, that is probably several dogs you have saved from rescue.

Fantastic job, well done!! And it's much harder to persuade someone not to use their dog than not to mate their bitch. You can sometimes get through to the bitch owners by telling them horror stories about tragedies where they lose the bitch, or by telling them about all the hard work of raising a litter. I must say I'm glad both my litters have been so small, haha!

On the topic of people breeding...........just saw this on the online adds and HAD to share!

Well done it takes some doing I am still being asked about using my boy for stud and why cant we mate chi x

OMG.

The owners might get "spaded" first if one of us gets hold of them first--I have a sturdy garden implement that would do nicely. Or perhaps they may think of mating it to a cat for best results?
