hey every one im new to this site i have just joined and in need of some info about my bitch

bella..is a 2 year old large breed who has no health problems she is in season now and is on day 13 we have been taking her to stud dog every other day since day 9 so we dont miss her.she is still bleeding but not as heavy as 2 day ago and she still wont stand for the dog a few times she has but when he tries to mount her she just sits down..

i have bred befor but smaller dogs and really dont know what to expect from a larger breed when i have mated any bitch befor they have been ready around day 11-12

we going to try her again tomorrow see how things go

is it normal for a bitch to go this long (day 13) and still be not ready to stand

My bitch's last litter was conceived from matings on days 18 and 20 - the earliest she would stand. As your bitch is a maiden you and the stud dog owner will undoubtedly need to assist with the mating to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible.

If you had the progesterone test then you would know what is the right day.
One of my girls conceived both litters on day 18.

She may ovulate late, my girls were mated day 18/20 and day 16/18 and both resulted in puppies.

One of my girls doesn't even get flirty until day 19.

My girly was mated days 27-31! I'm rather glad we didn't progesterone test ... it would have cost an absolute fortune  

well she has been to the dog again 2day and she finaly stood for him we did get a tie but only for a couple of minutes.....shes going again tomorrow so hopefully we will have more luck thanx again every one x
