Now that time is rapidly coming towards us and the clocks go back I have been looking at our winter gear and feel I need to replenish what we have with new gear (any excuse :-D )

So what I am after are some good reflective jackets for the girls but not the flimsy ones you can buy so any suggestions ? I also need some more reflective collars but want ones that are just not reflective but have seen some with a light that goes round the collar rather than a tag but not sure where I have seen them ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks
Lucy

I use these http://www.feedem.co.uk/dog-2/dog-collars-leads-11/canac-flashing-safety-leads-171/flashing-collar-medium-418.htm mine are quite old, looks like the design has changed slightly but im sure they are just as good, I can see the boys right over the other side of the field and it doesnt matter which way they are facing I can still see it flash, unlike the tag ones which if they have their back to you then you cant see them.

Edit to say : im sure ive seen those collars in PAH
Hit goal weight back in May .... could still do with losing a bit more though !!

Lucy  I bought a reflective collar that has flashing lights going right round it at PAH a few years ago. Brilliant on road walks but if you forget to take it off when your dog goes for a swim in the dark at the beach the lights only last about 4 strokes out into the water :-)

I have some flashing collars available and cheaper than PAH if you are interested.  PM me!  If you press the button once they just light up and if you press it twice they flash.
If I wanted a Poodle, OES, TT or IWS I would have bought one. SWD's shd. be natural and rustic. No

Lizzie don't worry we only do paddling in the dark in the winter evenings so no swimming ! :-)

These coats are rather like the hi-vis vests - http://www.petutopia.co.uk/fluorescent_dog_coats_3673.php
Treat every stressful situation as a dog would. Pee on it and walk away

I buy kids Hi vis waistcoats size 4/5 for Whistler & 6/7 for Jake cut a bit off (so they do not wee in it) they wash, cost about £3 max each and we have BCL logo on them as well. They dutifully lift each leg up get on their jacket and they ar off!!

I have an LED light attached to Georges collar (I got 2 for £3 off ebay) and it is great.  I can see him from across the park and I'm always getting stopped by people saying what a great idea it is.  I don't use a reflective jacket, maybe I should.
Another day, another lesson learned :-)

Just to say the jackets Margot found are very good and so are the collars Diane has sent me,.
They are excellent value and quality so recommend contacting Diane if anybody else is interested in them ! :-)
