On another thread some one had mentioned Virkon early on in it (i always read the whole post before comenting) so i had asked what it was - but its been deleted by the moderaters -is Virkon only for pets ? do they sell only in pet stores?

I ment to mention also that i looked on Ebay for odourfresh and some one is doing 4x5l for £21.99 with free shipping!!!

I've only ever bought these sort of products from trade stands at shows because I've known friends buy through Ebay and what they've received has definitely been diluted and so not cheaper at all....... :-(

I've always used biological whatever to clean and remove odours and Parvocide to disinfect. :-)

i find stardrops works on carpets and wooden floors, its just strong enough to get rid of the odours,i was paraniod about the smell but not anymore

The manufacturers of Odourfresh (in Belfast) seem to have phases where they do great deals like 4x5L with free postage, then revert to silly money plus postage (which is a lot!). Also it seems to come in various strengths eg. 1:50, 1:100, 1:300, 1:500. Then they also do it in 1L containers, but that works out at something like £15 inc P&P.....

I ended up so thoroughly confused in the end, I decided I would stick to Zoflora. Unless anyone near me (Somerset) wants to buy 1 x 5L (and can collect from me) then it just isn't worth bothering with Odorfresh however much the range of nice smells makes me salivate!
Acquiring a dog may be the only opportunity a human ever has to choose a relative.

I have bought and used Urine Off and it is really good.
Zoflora gives me a headache - used it when the babies (human) were born.

Like the sound of Mistral - will give it ago

Spray the area with a mixture of white vinegar and water, 1/2 and 1/2. Really works and is safe.

Does vinegar kill off bugs? It is very acid but I would be surprised if all or even most infective agents were killed by acid alone.

I bought a steam cleaner a month ago and will never go back to disinfectants again :-) Everything in my house has now been steam cleaned! Rugs...vinyl...dog beds....laminate....toaster....oven!! The dogs are lucky to have escaped steam cleaning! For a lovely smell, you can add a little essential oil to the water too - again, non-toxic and very effective at bug busting!

Virkon is used by vets , be aware it corrodes metal .....
I love the smell of Crommesol and love it when I walk  by their stands at dog shows.
