Hi and thanks for all your help so far, loads of things to try!! Do you mind helping with doses please.
The Cocculusx6, do you give it only when travelling, or through the day? And how long before travelling do you give it?
The Argent Nit. Again would that just be before travelling.
I am going to suggest trying one remedy, then if that doesn't work, the other, I wont suggest giving them both at once.
Ginger root tablets/powder: how much do you give please Kirstine, or is it obvious on the bottle?
John: have you found it yet?
Jane: Thanks, I'll suggest the ginger biscuit as well.

Thanks so much everyone,

Hi Westie Lover

You give one tablet of the Cocculus about 30 mins before travelling & then once an hour thereafter (presumably only if going on longer journeys). According to my book, after a few journeys, this should do the trick & the dog will no longer be prone to the condition. You can also give it 3 times a day for 10 days before a planned journey.

Hi Westie Lover,
just thought you might find this interesting: I used to give my pups ginger biscuits before a car journey instead of a meal.........it really helped with the car sickness, even stopped the pre-sick drooling!
Apparently its what they gave chimps on a reserve somewhere, when taking them to their new release area!!!!!

Hi Westie Lover, I posted lower down the board but here it is again.

Had a chat to my friend in Goldens and we both figure that as the problem starts almost before the car starts, it must be nerves. She has used Valerian Compound from DorWest herbs (Think it has a site on the net) and another one is Trided which is a homeopathic remedy. The phone number as a contact for this is 01277-213251. She says phone this one, they are very helpful and may have another suggestion.

Best wishes, John :-)
