Does anybody know anybody who breeds Dandie's? One of my customers would like one, as she owned one many years ago as a child!

They are not the most common or terriers but I am sure that an approach to one of the 3 clubs should bring forth some information.
Caledonian DD Terrier Club - Mr K Derry 01977 644347
DD Terrier Club - Mrs G Mannia 01625 251826
Southern DD Terrier Club - Mrs P Withers 01635 201489
or have a look on the Champdog breeders list or the Kennel Club puppy list.

They are rare, but a wonderful breed.

Strange on ones thoughts on things, I do not consider my breed to be rare but last year we had 98 and in 2009 33 pups registered (very low) the DDs had 108  in 209 & 151 in 2010 so I guess if they are rare then so are my breed.

Think they are classed as one of the endangered British breeds as the numbers bred are not that many, I actually thought it was far less than the no's that you quoted Nova, quite surprised by that.

I think they're a lovely breed.
If I wanted a Poodle, OES, TT or IWS I would have bought one. SWD's shd. be natural and rustic. No

They are quiet a grooming challenge and typical terriers - have a friend with one along with Irish Wolfhounds and another hound breed and I don't need to tell you who thinks they are in charge.
