Looking for a fully trained dog 3-4 year old ( Brittany Spaniel,Munsterlander, Weimaraner, Setter or Pointer etc.) for rough shooting in Ireland.
If you have any available or know where I should look.

Check out Shooting Times Mark, although I must point out that a trained gundog would start at around £1500! Possibly quite a bit more for the more unusual of these breeds.

Thank you for your email. There is quite a difference in the breeds that you mentioned to me eg: Pointer and Bracco and the breeds that you have mentioned above namely : Brittany, Weimaraner, Munsterlander and Setters. I understand that you require a dog for Rough Shooting, and all of these dog breeds could fit your requirments, but have you thought about the different temperaments and working styles etc. Have you had any experience with any of these breeds?

Having worked with setters and pointers for over 10 years as working dogs, you could say I have a bit of experience.

I have worked HPR's for a good few years too (nearly twenty). Mainly Rough Shooting with a few trials thrown in for good measure and in that time have narrowed down the breeds that suit me and my needs.

Hope that you don't mind me asking , but I am still curious ....

There is a lot of difference in the breeds that you mention.Do you not have a preference to which breed(s) best suit your needs and the job in hand, or will any ol' breed do? With 10 years experience, I would have thought that you would have narrowed it down a bit too lol
