Is anyone else having problems quoting posts? Everytime I click the "" to quote a section from a post I get a web address in "" followed by the actual part I want to quote. When I then post it comes up with this address and  have to edit to get rid of it.

I then have to edit out  xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> to get it to appear as intended

Yep, getting the same problem on my home computer, however my work one doesn't have any issues with this.. Do you think its down to Firefox or even the Windows programme we are on?

I'm using IE9 and Windows 7. IE 9 is being a pain and keeps telling me the internet has crashed (when it hasn't) but Firefox doesn't support Delicious bookmarks (or didn't 3 weeks ago )

I'm on Windows 7 too.. Maybe thats the common cause of this?

I never bother with the quote function, I just copy and paste and use italics. Easy. Like this: I highlighted and copied

then instead of just pasting it make sure to add the italics function which is the brackets with an i inside that you click on above,
and then paste it inside the brackets and it comes out like this: Is anyone else having problems quoting posts?

This is me trying the quote function, think it will come out the wrong way for me as well. I use Windows Vista and Firefox, latest version of FF.

If you click reply to the post you want to reply to then high light the section you want to quote then click on the littel quote button it should appear like this

I would normally do the quote part first then my reply

I have the same problem and I am on Vista and FF so I just copy and past as italics.

That is what I usually do - but it appears as above

Oh, perhaps it depends on the ie?? I think mine is ie8 but I wouldnt really know...far to technical...lol

I am using chrome and windows 7 and it is fine for me.
if you want the text to look like it has been quoted copy and past the text rather than quote and the just put a > sign at the beginning of the line

I used firefox and have the same probs as you dakkobear.  Its a bit of a PITA.

I can't even see the quote facility???
I just copy and paste and put it in quotation marks....
