I had to make some in an emergency (like you do!!!) and bought a little sachet thing made by schwarz spices, from the supermarket and just cooked it in the vat of wine/juice etc as per recipe on the packet. Very easy and very delicious.

Well thanks everyone, I thought instead of buying everything separately ('cause i'm lazy :D) I went to our local spice shop in the market, and got a bag that has everything in it apart from the wine and oranges...

But my next dilema is how much do you think would cater for around 40 people. I have know idea on volume etc. But one packet will have - bottles of wine. So say 2 bottles of wine, per sachet, how many people will 2 bottles of wine cater for?? :D

Can you tell I son't drink much wine !!! :D

Delia normally recommends 1/2 bottle of wine per person but as it's at an agility do not a dinner party and most people will be driving I'd say 1-2 glasses per person, so each bottle will do 5ish people.

HTH,

By eoghania [de] Date 12.11.02 08:13 GMT
Urp, is that real maggots? Doesn't sound very appetizing. Or is it something misleading like 'sweatmeats' and Yorkshire pudding (not pudding like tapioca) confused
