hi just wanted sum views about extra suppliments after whelping...having pups has really taken it out of my bitch shes very tired and im not happy with her weight. im giving her calcium and enervite(high cal,high energy)in addition to around 3 scrambled eggs and tinned food in quantitys of however much she can manage,up to now about a tin a day. she has 5 pups to feed and this is her first litter(they are greedy little monkeys!) does this sound appropriete? i will obviously check her diet with our vet but am curious to what others think

Oh well done Emma , I have only caught up now .She will be much brighter tomorrow
and next week you will have loads of fun when puppies start looking gorgeous.
Dont try and over feed her as this wont help at all jusy give her what she wants , make sure you have plenty fresh water for her , she needs that for the milk
give her a natural yogurt it is good for her and puppies .It boosts the immune system and kills some types of bacteria.
Mash a banana for her also and put a few spoons of it in her tinned food . .
You seem to be doing fine with her and the puppies , all the best
