Hello!
Has anyone been on this diet, was it successful and do you feel it of benefit to you?
I'm contemplating going on it for the 28 days recommended as I'm a vegetarian already having no meat is no problem to me but having no cups of tea, that'll be a hard one! There's a few food items listed I haven't heard of, can anyone help?
Thankie,
Lily!

The diet obviously does something to the sense of humour as she sounds like she is about to lay an egg whilst laughing at Mr RW's "jokes"
Oh dear..trust you two!
Post a serious "ask" on here and along come Laurel & Hardy!!!!!!! :D
Did I mention anywhere wanting to look like Miss V??????? NO!!!!!! And to have had to work with RW all those years must mean you are completely off your trolley. Who finds him funny, besides her?

Did we say you would end up looking like CV?

I wouldn't mind working with Mr RW if I got her salary :D. I would even laugh at his jokes. Maybe that is the reason for the horrible laugh?

Sorry though, don't know much about her detox diet, but if you do try it, please let us know if it is worth it.

Now then, RW shares his birthday with me, and is my Mum's secret toyboy, so won't have anything said agin him. His corny dreadful jokes have added many insults to days which have already been beyond redemption! :D
Jo and the Casblaidd Flatcoats
Ah but Jo...woman of a "certain" age tend to find David Dickinson attractive...need I say more????? I'm sure my mum fits into this category too.
IF I go onto Miss V's diet I'll let you all know, or maybe when you spy this young trim looking thing floating past you at dog shows squawking like a chicken, you'll realise who it is!!!!

Melody,
I cannot believe you are of that certain age....
I used The Duke as an example because seemingly the Bargain Hunt message board on the BBC website is jam packed with messages from adoring ladies.....but then some folk find Tom Jones attractive...takes allsorts.....now if it was Steve Leonard...that's a different story!!! :D
No no - John Travolta

Sigh......

Ah ha Melody,
Knew you weren't up to that "certain age"...long way to go until that!

John Travolta in Grease...mmm hhhmmmmmm...nice...
Think we've gone off the beaten track a bit?????

Must admit, I think Paul Martin on BBC2's Flog It is a bit of alright too! :D

Michael Wood of BBC's "In Search of...." fame does it for me..........or Sean Bean !

I didnt like him in Grease ..I prefer the older version

Woman of a certain age usually means over 40

What age do you consider to be that *certain age*?

:D

As I am only 5 & a bit years off of 40, I don't consider myself near to being that *certain age*!! My mum on the other hand is 61, thats more like it!!!!!! She'll kill me now....lucky she is completely computer illiterate! :D
Hi Lily
My mum tried this diet, and it did work to a certain extent I think she lost about 12lbs. But she lost another forty buying all the stuff to do it right.
If your into doing the fitness videos, I can recommend a good one Rosemary Conley's "fat attack" I lost 10lbs in three weeks, never changed my eating pattern just did video three times a week. Sadly the novelty has worn off and the 10lbs has crept back on again

Alison
Alison,
When I open the book again...I will ask you where your mum got some of those well wonky ingredients that are listed!
Thanks

I found the "Callanetics" video I was given (thanks, Mum  ) took off a few pounds, but more to the point, a couple of inches as well!
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
Jeangenie
Who made that video is it worth getting? The one I suggested is really good I did lose a few inches and toned up. I think If i got a new video I might get motivated again, but it must be an easy one :D
Lily Munster
My mum has spent a fortune on the strangest things, so you will definetly lose a few lbs ( from your pocket ), my mum has paid £20 for bl**dy tea bags that are supposed to help you lose weight, don't think they were part of the detox though. Anything you want know just ask and I'll quiz her for you.
Alison

Hi Alison, The video is by Callan Pinckney, (a strangely annoying woman!) but the exercises are pretty good - it's not hugely energetic, a bit yoga-ish in that it's done slowly, but it really stretches and tones. The one I got is called simply "Original Callanetics"
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
Thanks J/genie
I got a step video ages ago from a carboot sale, it said you could do the video without a step

So tried it without and looked a bit silly:D so I bought a step and did the video it was pretty fast going, anywy the step is now in the garage and only used once, I couldn't walk for two days:D Never again
Alison

Is't colonic irrigation part of detox, do not fancy that

Hi Alison,
Although these exercise videos are a good idea, do you find they are best done with a box of Maltesers to hand for psychological support?
