Hi this is Londogs mum
My dog is limping on his front paw not all the time just intermitantly. There is no cut or visual injury how should I treat it?

You don't say if the dog appears to be in any pain? Could it be an age thing ? Is it a whippet? How long has it been like it ? So many questions !! :-)

Are you sure that the 'limping' is actually with the dogs foot ? Could it be a shoulder (or back) problem? The trouble with limping is that sometimes you are not getting the full picture. One of my boyz had what I assumed was a strained shoulder but when the vet checked him over, the problem was diagnosed as being his spine just above his croup !!! I would have bet money on it being his shoulder lol.

If it was my dog I would just rest him up for a couple of days, keep a close eye on him and see what happens. Obviously, if it becomes worse or he appears to be in pain then get him to a vet :-) If it is an age thing, then there are things that you can do to help.
