I have a 18 month old staff and she will not eat dog meat we have tried most dog meats and she will not eat them. We feed her chicken, mince and liver with her dried food nutro and she does then eat her dinner. can anyone give me any advice please

Hmm.... - I think I've had a senior moment!!! I read this as staff - i.e. employees - wont eat dog meat !

No suggestions I'm afraid for your staffie - its not a problem with labradors or aussies!

why dont you give her raw meat? we give ours raw meat. its really good for them. they are wolves after all. our staffy girl loves it.shes 5 month old now.

we started by giving her a raw lamb heart when she was around 9 weeks. shes on Nutro lamb and rice and the once a week we give her a chunk of raw meat on bone like a quarter of a lamb shoulder. which replaces two meals of nutro. we give her fruits in between meals.

You say your dog wont eat 'dog meat' I assume you mean tinned meat. If so why not try raw such as beef tripe (some pet shops stock it). I havn't come across a dog yet that turns its nose up at it. Also you could try heart or beef.

why are you trying to feed her extra meat on top of her "COMPLETE" dog food ?
nutro is a complete dog food that needs no additional meat to be added to it
it has everything she needs already in it

just leave the nutro down
if she doesnt eat it within about 30 mins remove it and put it back down later
she`ll soon get used to it

ive fed my little mutt on nutro for the last year or more and he does perfectly fine on it
with any meat that he does get given, such as a sunday dinner, replacing a meal of nutro
not supplementing it
