I put my year old gsp on it recently - he is doing really well on it and seems to like it (eats anything). It has lower protein than other foods (silver) and less fat so I supplement it with a few tinned pilchards. It has awards etc and IS great value for money. If you go on to their website and email them they will send you a couple of samples to try on your dog.

Have you got their link please? I've heard lots of people on here and other sites recommending it, and would love to know more.
Do you know if they do a gluten free or sensitive version?

http://www.gilpa.co.uk/ is the address, not much on the site but email address is there - I think they only do gold or silver - no gluten free/sensitive. I wanted that as I thought Roscoe might have a wheat allergy as he scratched and had dandruff on jwb but since changing he has had none of this - the pilchards might be helping that though (god they stink!!!)

You can also ring them on 01707 367900. I rang them and found a stockist near to me.

The only thing you probably need to check is the size of the pieces for a young pup - I know someone whose cocker wouldn't eat it as it was too big (you could add water to soften) - it's about an inch long and third inch wide, like a flattened kidney bean.

Hi, I have given info on this before on another posting but can't remember which one. If you contact Gilbertson & Page ltd on 01707 367 900 or e.mail them at info@gilpa.co.uk, they will give you a list of suppliers in your area. Dr Johns' is classed as a working food, and as such is Vat free. Silver which is 18% protien is £5.99 and Gold which is 20% protien is £6.99. I have three bullmastiffs who have all been brought up on Dr Johns and are all doing really well on it, i also show all of them. Karen.
