The Patterdale Terrier bitch has been found in Dartford KENT, wandering along the road by a young boy

There are still 2 lurchers and a terrier missing and these may well be in the same area.

Further information received from Lurcher Search:

These dogs may well be in Grays, Essex now...........possibly even in the Police's kennels.
We don't have many *friendly* dog wardens in that area (and some of the stray shelters are very keen to put any lurchers to sleep as soon as they can), so please could you pass the following information on to any contacts you may have in the Essex area?

News from Lurcher Search
~~

And..............THE MOST FANTASTIC NEWS I COULD WISH FOR;

At long last, after much searching, many phone calls and a lot of heartache, Jet is back with her owners :

LSB 768/8/D: .............FOUND!!!!!

Lurcher - bitch (entire)
Rough coated
Black with a small white patch on chest. Small white flecks on face
Dewclaws present. Scar on shoulder (bald patch). Paws at you if you stand in front of her
Height: 24 inches
Age: 2 years
Collar: Leather greyhound + id
Name is "Jet"
Stolen from: Rotherfield, East Sussex on 20/8/01
Circumstance of loss: 3 men broke into the house at 10 am,(smashing down the doors) and stole the two bitches. A neighbour noted
down the registration number of their car, which is registered in Dartford, Kent. Police are aware of the driver's id.
Additional Info: Crime number N43-3791-01

Found on a site in the same county, in a terrible condition........but safe.............now we need to find their other terrier and that'll be all 4 dogs home.

~~~~~~~~~~
Anyone who reads this regularly may remember that two lurchers were stolen and whilst the owners were out looking for them thieves broke in and stole two terriers - three of the four are now home - hope they find the other terrier.
Me too. I also read this thread regularly. I always tell my family about the stories here to make them aware that these things DO happen and to be on their guard. So pleased that all the hard work has paid off. Fingers crossed the fourth dog is found.
