Can anybody offer some advice please.I have been barf feeding for 6mnths now but have a problem with a 5yr old shiba bitch,who is constantly putting on weight evan though she is eating the minimum that I dare feed her.
Can anyone suggest how to get the weight off and how to maintain her weight and keep her in good condition please ??

I had this problem with Murph (7 month old lab).
I think the only way around it is to feed less meat and bone and more veg.
I must admit, I was finding it quite difficult doing this for Murph so switched him to naturediet and Burns. He's doing very well on that and looks slimmer already!:D...perhaps I ought to try it!:D

Maybe look at what you are feeding take skin off chicken use lamb less frequently things like that combined with more veg to fill up. I have a 13 year old Beardie who seems to live on air.

Hi Anne, I'm new to this site but am looking for advice on changing my two beardies onto BARF. My 8yr old has a reccuring problem with mouth ulcers caused by the tartar build up due to complete food. Have been advised by specialist to try this diet. I don't know anyone with Beardies on BARF so have been searching and found you. I show my beardies and so wonder if the diet stains the beard badly, or do you just wipe them after meals?

There are a lot of Beardie people who raw feed, I don'tshow very much so the stste of Cava's Beard doesn't really matter but can't say I have noticed much staining in general
