most daily papers (broadsheet) give the current exchange rate in their financial pages, try looking there.

As a rule of thumb, $1=70p or £1=$1.60.

Also try http://www.cargadgets.co.uk/ucc.htm which is a very user freindly currancy converter. And much more accurate

if u just type currecy converter into search topic and it will give u the option to fin a free currency conversion just pick a site u like and add it to favorites thats what i do
