Will put it on the DW etc list - there is someone who I think is looking into the Kent "disappearances"

Someone in the Cotswolds "picked up today and elderly Yorkshire terrier
bitch, cataract in her right eye, tan with slate back. Solid little thing."

Do you know if the bitch you posted has a cataract?

About time too !!!!
This is getting stupid now ...talk about easy money mad

Right, just spoken to the elderly owners. They say that " ....one of her eye's was discoloured and she was going deaf, but we hadn't had a vets confirmation ..." .

The colour is right and she was wearing a red colour !

If it is possible, can someone deal direct ? These people were actually on holiday, and live in Whitstable !

Hi Leigh

Have passed it on to the dog wardens concerned. I think it unlikely because of the distance but anything is possible so fingers crossed

I am now advising anyone who has their dog stolen and then receives little help from "the authorities", that they should write a letter of complaint to their MP. We are getting nowhere by complaining to the Police ( I KNOW there ARE some good 'uns, but the majority can't be bothered coz it "just a dog") and I think it's time we all banded together and lobbied our MPs to get something done about dog theft.

The Police are aware (in certain ares) of who the perpetrators are and are extremely reluctant to go onto the sites and actually DO anything about it. Does this sound wrong to anyone else apart from me????

A Dog Warden from Cotswold DC has picked up, friday, an elderly Yorkshire terrier
bitch, cataract in her right eye, tan with slate back.

Could it be?????

Hi K

I have emailed the dog warden (and Jenny) who picked up the Yorkie with details of the one that Leigh posted. I think it unlikely because of the distance between them - a bigger younger dog maybe but an old yorkie - one is said to be solid and the other small but we can hope.

I expect that this little one is all of 100 yards from where it was pinched mad Unfortunately, her owners can not afford to offer a reward.

We find that a poster campaign with "REWARD" (in big letters) and then underneath in smaller letters " for information leading to a conviction" works well IYKWIM :-))

I don't think it's likely either, but you never know................the PetDetective has a couple of Yorkies on her books too.
