I first read Rainbow Bridge almost ten years ago when my dear friend Paula Shires (Editor of Pet Dogs Magazine) died tragically. Paula had encouraged my writing pursuits and I wrote on a regular basis for every issue of PetDogs. Rainbow Bridge had been a favourite of Paula's and was featured as her obituary. Since then I have taken great comfort from the thought of this wonderful place and as each of my darling dogs have died we have consoled ourselves that they are simply waiting with auntie Paula to play again one day.

God bless those who grieve - human and canine

Hi Alice:

We recently lost our lab and it was very stressful. Somehow I came across 'champdogsforum' and found the topic about the Rainbow Bridge. Reading the stories from other people was very helpful for me, even though the posts were not directed at me. There are a lot of caring and supportive people out there.

Your friend Paula sounds like she was a wonderful person.

Hi Alice
I replied to a post of yours under the thread "Bracken", on this forum. Hope you found it!
