Stranger at the Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring weather. Those old and frail animals are young again. Those who have been maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.

Some of them here by the Bridge are different. These pets were beaten, starved, tortured, and unloved. They watch wistfully as their friends leave one by one, to cross the bridge with their special person. For them there is no one, no special one. Their time on earth did not give them one.

But one day, as they run and play, they notice someone standing by the road to the bridge. This person wistfully watches the reunions of friends, for during life, this person had no pet. This person was beaten, starved, tortured, and unloved.

Standing there alone, one of the unloved pets approaches, curious as to why this one is alone. And as the unloved pet and the unloved person get nearer to each other, a miracle occurs, for these are the ones who were meant to be together, the special person and the beloved pet who never had the chance to meet while on Earth. Finally, now, at the edge of the Rainbow Bridge, their souls meet, the pain and the sorrow disappears, and two friends are together.

They cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Just saw on the news that the dog didn't die of drowning, she had either been battered around the head or strangled, then thrown into the cold water. What sort of animals would do this to a poor dog, it makes my blood boil! Actually 'animals' is too kind a word for them~!

I've been searching for anything on the forum about this poor dog; sure that someone would have posted their feelings of horror......Of course, what better place than a tribute on Rainbow Bridge.

I can't get that picture of her sad face out of my head, and will willingly help dump the monster who did this into the nearest, deepest, coldest, river available, if they ever find them.
But, no.....they would just get a fine...which they wouldn't pay.
What sort of place are we living in today??

Surely SOMEONE knows the person who used to have a cocker....but hasn't got one now? Everyone has neighbours/friends/workmates etc...?

How many of us would have taken her, and given her a loving home....puppies and all?? Nearly all of us, I bet.

She's happy now, surrounded by her babies, at the Bridge.

rest in peace you and your pups those poor things.
if you think about it killing a man and killing a dog are totally different where as a man can hit back what can a poor little dog yet the people that murder other people are put on electric chairs given lethal injections and put inside for 25 yrs
yet some cowardly cruel b*****d kills something so poor helpless and innocent and is stopped from gettin another poor dog for a few years and or a fine of a few quid what a load of rubbish i think people like that should be put in a cage with eachother to see what they can do to other big men but nothing would happen they couldnt do that they might get hurt instead victimise a poor defencless mut and its babies
RIP hope u and ur pups are happy now
