Is there any way - apart from logging out (and searching high and low for password) or going to "Home" "Messageboard" etc to refresh the page so that it just shows new posts?

Christine

*** Go to 'Forum' and click on the New Posts option in the top right hand corner. Then Bookmark the page. Or use your 'Refresh' button on your toolbar. :-)

If you add the following address to your favourites.

http://www.champdogs.co.uk/cgi-bin/board/forum.pl

Then click on the new posts option.

I do that (I think) but the new posts mount up - they don't go get marked as read without going to "home" and coming back again or logging out - what am I doing wrong? Refreshing does not get rid of read posts just brings up any new ones that have been written whilst I am on line

I, like Christine, have this problem. I asked the same question shortly after the board format changed and did exactly as you have said several times, and have checked my book marking over and over again but still cannot get the new posts to clear themselves by your method. What I now do after I have read all the new messages is to go to 'HELP' and click on the link in there. That clears down the New messages and is slightly less cumbersome than logging out and back in as Christine is doing.

Hi Admin

Thanks for the link - if I click on it here it works - if I save it as favourites on my machine it only works once.

But .....you have given me (and probably others) a quick way to clear read posts by coming "down here" and clicking on the link

Thanks

Christine
