Just found this page & wanted to dedicate my thoughts to my dearly parted dog "Prince". He was a 4 yr old cross rough collie/G.S.D and such a handsome fella. I rescued him as a 13 wk pup from a very cruel man and rebuilt his confidence in people. He then went to train as a Guide dog for the Blind, but after 6 mths of training he failed his final test. He just loved footballs too much!. I got him back but 3 yrs later due to an illness that I had to go to Hospital for I had to temp rehome him. It was the sadest day of my life. I cried for weeks. He went to a lovely lady & we kept in touch & she kept sending me photo`s. He was doing great. I couldnt ask for him back he seemed so settled and as she was old he seemed such a great companion for her (she had just lost her prev dog of old age) so I decided to let him stay.Then last yr the tragic accident happened. He was out enjoying himself, doing what dogs like doing when he caught his eye on a rabbit. He didnt see the car just the rabbit and well you know the rest. I just want him to know I loved him dearly even though my circumstances didnt allow me to have him back. I carry a picture of him in my purse and we all miss him deeply. I hope he will be waiting on rainbow bridge for his fellow companions, His two cats he prev had and that I one day will be able to give him that ever longed hug. When he died I decided to get a new puppy. After looking around I found our new baby, who by coincidence was born on the same day he died. He is a beautiful G.S.D and reminds me so much of Prince. It is funny because although my new dog is of his own personality he often does things the same as Prince. I am sure Prince has been reincarnated in my new dog to be back with us all. Gone but not Forgotten..XXX

So sorry to hear about your loss. Prince sounds like a super dog, who gave a great deal to a lot of people. Look for him at the Bridge, he'll be there waiting for you.
