All the talk of white poo got me wondering if any of you guys out their had any good methods of disposing of your dogs waste I put mine down the downstais toilet but its not a job i enjoy especialy when it sticks to the shovel I know its not a very nice subject but we all have to do it so any good tips would be appreciated Pawla

We have a woodburner stove with top opening, so all poo is put in there and burns to ash, which then goes back onto garden. I collect it in carrier bag so don't have to bring it indoors on shovel!!!!

More difficult in the summer but I keep poo in bag and then burn on woodburner once a week.

Oooh. Doesn't it smell? I'm with those who collect it, double bag it and put it in the wheelie bin the night before.

Not sure I could persuade Al to burn it. Could you imagine. Serving Sunday lunch and then saying - we power the Rayburn with dog poo you know. :D

Although you could be on to something. Wonder if I could heat and power the house with cow and horse manure . . .

do you not have an outside manhole that goes in to the drains that you could access.......sounds better than taking it indoors. As for the woodburner.....OMG...I don't think I would like a romantic night infront of my woodburner, scented candles, low lights, atmospheric music...........& the smell of DOG POO!!!!!!!

Mine goes straight into the slurry pit!!! Compared with the amount of shit created by 250 cows, a bit of dog poo isn't noticed round here!!!

Honest to god it doesn't smell at all its sealed so therefore all the smell goes up the chimney so to speak.

Wouldn't do it if it smelled my hubby would move out and then how would I finance my dog shows. lol.

still thinking of how to explain to daughters boyfriend,( they are the only ones who have romantic nights in front of my woodburners nowadays) what the stink was, if there was any. lol
