I have posted before, but desperately need some advice. My dog is 9. On the recommendation of our local vet, we took him to a specialist to investigate his walking/staggering problem. He doesn't appear to be in pain, but is constantly losing his balance and falling over. He was taken in and assessed to narrow the problem down. It was suggested that the problem could be one of three things. A disc problem, irritating the spinal cord, the immune system causing inflammation around the spinal area or a tumour. He had a Milogram carried out (dye injected down the spinal channels) and an x-ray done. This showed no disc problem. He has also had 2 samples of spinal fluid taken, but still waiting for the results. He took a small fit under the anaesthetic, but came out himself. His heart murmour has been graded 4/6. Has anyone seen this or heard of this before that can offer some help as it is very distressing seeing your dog trying to walk and constantly falling over.
