We are picking up our puppy this weekend, any helpful tips on settling her in to a new home would be appreciated (she is 15 weeks old, so I guess a bit more used to her current environment than most)

Thanks

Dean

Firstly try to make sure you are not expecting anyone that day,it best to just have your own family home.
Don"t overwelm the pup with toys etc.
Have a bed set up ready show it to the pup and if he/she go"s to its bed leave it in piece thats its own little place.
Lots of cuddles if wanted.
Make sure you get a diet sheet, and for at least couple of days don"t change it.
The puppie will be teething get some ice cubes ready in the freezer pups love to chew them and it takes pain away from gums.
Pups will play for an hour then just flop time this with going to bed.
And good luck at 15 weeks they are a handful.

Taking the plunge then Dean :-) Kay has given you good advice. I would just add, start as you mean to go on and set the ground rules early. You are taking on a strong willed breed. Most of all, remember to enjoy your puppy. They are babies for such as short time. Has she got a name yet?

Hi Leigh, Yes we are taking the plunge, spent a while at the breeders meeting all the dogs (and getting very muddy in the process!) obedience classes booked, and have started making enquiries about hpr training classes. The breeder named her Connie, so we are going to stick with that. you were right, nice litter :-)
