I would really appreciate some help in finding a Staffordshire bull terrier breeder who has left the address that I have. The name is J. Ardron and he/she lived in Erdington, B'ham in 1997 when my staff was born. The reason why I'm looking for the breeder is because 1 year ago I became the owner of a wonderful 3-year-old Staffordshire bull dog. Due to the previous owner’s recent birth of a baby son and the husband’s new job, which meant that he had to work away from home mon-fri, 'Duke' wasn't getting the care and attention that staffies greatly need. 'Duke' didn't turn nasty but he did get very stressed and started messing and chewing things that he shouldn't. The vet wasn't able to help and sadly they had to part with him, which is how he ended up brightening up my life, as I've got the time to give him more then enough attention! When I picked him up I was given his pedigree certificate but he was never registered for whatever reason. This is my 1st pedigree (?) dog and I don't know what I need to do to see if I can register him myself, the K/C have informed me that this is the breeders responsibility which is why I need some help in what I do next! My dog's family history is as follows sire = Freddie's Flutter, Dam = Tara. Grandparents = sire's - Brigadier Garth at Portstaff & Cradbury's Danny Double. Dam's = Aquarius Beauty & Annie's. In his tree he also is related to Cradbury Flash Danny Boy, Rocellio Rip Van Winkle, Wallace the Wizard, Black Tusker, Ruffhill the Midlander and Lady bess's pride. These last names are all wrote in red and I have seen one of the dogs in a staffie book, so am interested in finding out more about them. Also I have been told by strangers that ‘Duke’ is up to show standards, but I cant show him without him being registered, the same goes for putting out for stud! I hope you can see my dilemma!! If the breeder did not register the dog there must be a reason and only they can tell you. Have you tried contacting the breed club yet? Its a very long shot, but J.Ardron may be a member?

Hi Leigh! Thanks for you reply! I hope I dont sound really stupid but how can I contact the breed club? I'm not used to the internet!! I how found a site listing all pedigree SBT and found his grandad Cradburys's Danny Double & he has fathered two dogs that are registered! I havent found either of his parents so I'm coming to the conclusion of that duke isnt a pedigree! Not that it makes any difference, but it would of been nice to stud him properly, due to his laid back but loyal attitude!

I'm still going to keep on looking though......who knows!!!

Jo, check out the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Breed Club site. Lots of info there and they have a message board too I am sure that someone there will be able to help you further.
