I've got a super little black cat called Treacle. For several days earlier this week she hadn't been herself. She was eating ok but following me round all the time looking lost. I couldn't work out what was up with her. Also she didn't seem to be cleaning herself and she's usually really sleek. So my 18 year old daughter decided to give her some fur cleaning lessons (yes we are all completely mad in the house). Well when Lauren (my daughter) got close to Treacle's fur she realised she smelt really stongly of oil. We decided the best thing was to give her a bath using Thistle's dog shampoo. She was good as gold and you've never seen anything so funny as a wet cat, or anything so cute as her wrapped up in 2 big fluffy towels:-) We put her on the nice hot boiler until she'd dried off and now she's right as rain!!
