Have you bought any dog magazines and looked in there for their advice lines?
Have you ever owned a GSD before?  Do you work full time?  These are questions most GSD breeders would ask.
You will find many good breeders but there are also some 'bad' ones. Please do the relevant checks before you part with your money.
I was bitten with my first GSD and he died at 18 months and I would not want anyone to go through what i went through.

Good luck, as has been suggested, try the dog papers.
Before buying a pup, INSIST on SEEING the hip score papers for mum and dad.  Im sure there are other inherited GSD disorders, try a net search.
