I am looking for a Weimaraner pup.  I'm not interested in showing.  I am looking for breeders in the South East (I am near Chelmsford, Essex) with pups available.  Ideally, I would like one that is housetrained. Any info would be appreciated.

Get in touch with the Weimaraner Club of Great Britain and/or the Weimaraner Association http://www.weimaranerclubofgreatbritain.org.uk
http://www.weimaraner-association.org.uk/
who will put you in touch with reputable breeders who, if members of these organizations, must abide my a code of ethics/conduct where they agree not to mate a bitch under 2 or whelp over 7 nor have more than 3 litters per bitch in her lifetime.  Members agree only to breed from stock that meet the breed standard and that are temperamentally and physically sound.  They also agree to help with rehoming should the need arise.  You should buy only from breeders who hip score both sire and dam (the breed average is 13).

Puppies do not come house trained (like children)! :D

Please make sure that this is the breed for you, they are not the wisest choice for the first time dog owner.

[EDIT]
I really should have supplied a little more information.

I have owned dogs for the past 25 years, the last being a Boxer that we had from a pup to the ripe old age of 13yrs.  A housetrained pup is obviously not essential, but the thought of missing out on the initial messy stage would be nice.

Thanks for the replies and links, I'll be looking into them today.
