Last year we lost two of our beloved dogs. Bridie, our soft coated wheaten terrier had a stroke and then died of severe kidney disese and then my little rescue yorkshire terrier died of a tumor on her adreinal gland and chushings disese. Now our only dog is really sad. But thankfully we found out yesturday that the dog that we are having a puppy of i defenatly pregnant!! so we will soon have a naughty little wheaten terrier about the house, followed by the dog that im getting, a papillon. So our house will soon be full of life again but wont be the same without our little lizzie and bridie.

in memory of them.

Hi Sarah

Sorry to hear that you have recently lost two of your beloved pets. Can I ask if you have reported the loss of your  wheaten to the SCWT Club of GB as Kidney Disease in wheatens can be inherited & I know the club would appreciate this  information.

Good luck with your new pup.

yes the kennel club payed for a post mortem and the right people have been informed. I think it was a problem with our poor wheatens litter. thank you for asking that question as i think it inportant to keep the breed pure and and as disese free as posible it nice that the club is helpfull and kind about this sort of problem. Hopefully our new puppy will be born in three weeks. Do you have a wheaten?

thanks for your reply

Hi Sarah

Yes I have 4 wheatens to keep me company!

As I groom & trim all of my own if you need some help with this then let me know I'm sure we could sort something out.....what part of the country are you in?

Thanks for your offer i live in the West Midlands about 18 miles from Birmingham at a place call Burntwood. What are your wheaten prefixes/kennel names? Do you show your wheatens?
