Can someone please tell me how I can cut my dogs black nails with out cutting the nerve? What do I do if I do accidently cut the nerve? How do I stop it from bleeding? Are some nail cutters better than others? Thank you in anticipation of your reply.

if you're not used to cutting nails id suggest you buy a dremmel ,its hand held and you get them cordless that are rechargable, theyre excellent and take the nail back in a grinding motion, its quick and has 2 speed settings, tou can tell when its getting near to the point that you'd have to stop, i find them great if you have back problems too,

is it a 'dog' tool or D.I.Y. How much do they cost?

you can get them from argos, although some championship show stands advertise them as dog nail grinders-theyre EXCACTLY THE SAME as the ones in argos, i think mine was around £50 but they'll last for ages theyre dark red with a handle you remove and plug into a charger that comes with it, i wouldnt be without mine, they can be a touch noisy best to get them used to them asap
