Hi all

right i know what CH means but what is CH CH as one of the dogs in my dogs pedigree has this and i know that you can not put CH in the name, does it mean that he is a double champ?
His name is Ch Ch Jokartan Royal Tan and he is a Stafford.

thanks all

Bobby

id say it was a mistake, ive never seen ch ch , contact the kennel club to check out theres no other mistakes in his pedigree, no matter how many tickets [cc's] a dog wins it wont make him a double-triple etc a champ-a champ is a champ is a champ!!! :d :d

It could be in relation to the country the dog is from and shows they are a champoin in that country - possibly Chekoslovakia, depending how old the dog was? You sometimes see it on pedigrees, Aus-Australia, Am - american and the such like. Could be worth checking out with the breeder to see if they know. Otherwise it could just be a mistake.

Pam is right. It could have refered to a different country, but in this case Tan was a well known UK Champion :-)

i new i new the name for somewere but i think the CH CH put me off, does it mean that the KC has made a mistake again? if they have what is the point in have them registrad as who is to say that more have not gone unoticed. Will i have to phone them now to make sure there are no more problems with his pedigree.
(sorry i am in the mood to have a go and someone and it seans to be the KC this time) :-) LOL

I think this is a 'minor' error on the KC's part as errors go.But I would cross reference your pedigree with other pedigree's if you can Bobby. I paid the KC silly money for a five generation pedigree for one of my GSP's some years ago now and I was staggered at the amount of mistakes in it. They had spelt no less than 15 dogs names wrong! Some names were hardly recognisable and one dog and bitch with very similar names actually changed sex! I got together with a friend and we spent a couple of weeks checking and cross checking names and then forwarded them to the KC. They sent me a thank you note and made the changes to their data. A new pedigree arrived and it still had 3 errors on it. I gave up after that. With the internet, it is just as easy to do the research yourself.

thanks Leigh

quite sad, what are they doing if they can not evan get a 5 gen. pedigree right, after i read what you said Leigh i have a good look at his pedigree and i noticed 6 wrong spellings (i know that i should not say much about spelling but!!) :-) but other than that all the dogs are right, are the pedigree done by a computer or hand done?
I have also looked at all the other pedigree's i have in the house and in mine i only get problems in the larger pedigrees (IE) 5 genarations.

The system is computerised but the information placed into the system has to be correct to start with. :-) I would hope that they had got their collective act together by now, but if people don't inform them of any errors, then they will remain wrong.

yea i think that you are right i think that i will phone them on Monday and let them know.

Thank you
