I just wondered if anyone on here has ever completed a walk like this or the WHW or anything really.

I did the Offas Dyke walk, I take it there's only 1. Is that the 40 mile walk? If it is we did it in 19 hours and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had my walkman and just plodded along, couldn't move very well the next day but enjoyed it and would definately do it again.
The guy who was organizing it got us lost a bit and added an extra 3 miles onto it.

Just had a quick search on google, it's not the same one. I'm sure the one we did ended in dyke. Can someone tell me what it was called. It started down in East Yorkshire, I'm pretty sure it was next to osmotherley.

Offa's Dyke

Offa's Dyke Path is one of twelve designated National Trails. It is the only national trail to follow a man-made feature. Built by Offa, King of Mercia in 757 to 796 AD the dyke formed the boundary between England & Wales, running 182 miles eek from Prestatyn in the north to Sedbury, near Chepstow in the south. Men from the border country along the Mercian (English) side all had to contribute: they could send food or they could build 128cm of dyke.

Always wondered how they built it - thats a serious walk :D

I have always wanted to do that walk, but no-one will go with me, i only live round the corner from Prestatyn so i walk a couple of miles, but 180 something miles is too much for my friends!!!!

anyone that wants to try it give me a call!!!
