It is getting harder and harder to get the forum to load , let alone post anything here. Mark is there a chance you can increase your bandwidth or something? (Sounds like I know what I am talking about ...but I dont :D )

I am now regularly getting the message about to many users ...and thats when I can actually get the pages to load

I have lost most of todays posts as i could not wait to download , i just emailed a friend awhile ago saying i cant get on the board , I thought it was my computer. I did a wizard system clean up and deleted all , so I think I will leave it now as it is not enjoyable right now . I also get the message maximum users mari

Same here it is taking ages to load and when I do get in takes ages for the posts to show.

yea i dont get much trouble after 12 and it is better after 2 but that is just me. it is quite funny as a few months ago i could not post and now it is you lot, i was lucky Mark sorted it out for me hope he can do it for you.

Dizzy that is totally true! Finally at 10:45pm Chicago time I'm allowed in.
Don't they realize that I'm addicted to this board?
I usually check in a couple times through the day just to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I too have found it very difficult to get the forum to load tonight. It has taken me several attempts. Even now it is very very slow.

I got on around 4-00 pm since then I’ve been trying up until now 10-45pm. the board is just strangling! I see there is almost no new posts on so it appears nobody made it here! Let’s hope Admin can get some more bandwidth from somewhere or it will die!

Grrrr me too. Look at the time and no way can I go to bed until I have read everything and here I am wasting more time sending messages.

It took 20mins to get to the home page last night
then another 20 mins to get on the board.
When I tried to post another,15 mins went by,then
larkin told me too many users. I don't know who the
other users were but it doesn't sound is if any regular
champdoggers could get on the board at all.
A bit faster this morning and no larkin messages.

Its still very slow for me this morning although I havent had any error messages or Larking about stuff. There are hardly any messages though I should imagine only the regulars will be bothering to persevere, any passerbys with a question would probably give up and try another board.

It was good of you to fiddle with something and remove the message Mark ....but now how about the connectivity?

I've been on line for the past couple of hours and this is the only site that is taking me ages to access and read posts, I'm also still getting the lparkins msg too

I've also been on line all day and this site is taking forever to load. It took 8.5 mins to refresh the forum page and 13mins 15 secs to load the 'new posts' page. I'm not having problems accessing anyother sites though, just this one

Took me 2 hours to get on tonight(TRYED FROM 7.15, NOW 9.15)Gave it the (last time), and on it went, luckily :D . Then there was only 5 posts. Can you put more servers on PLEASE , I Bet everyone is giving up. Now I'm off after 5 mins, nothing more to read.

problems for me too - been trying all afternoon, sometimes managed to get on to the boards section, but gave up with 'new posts' (

same here, got on couple of times this morning, no joy after that, its nearly 11 and its the first time ive got anywhgere, ive managed to get the board up but got told it was too busy,

I got in for a while on Sunday but was then cut off and the site (except for mauve background, no writing) was unobtainible for rest of the day.

No problem this morning but I am earlier than usual - it generally takes quite a few attempts to get all the lost/stolen dogs up rather than being able to do them as they are reported

I logged on today and it said there were no new posts so I had to go under active topics which is a too longwinded way to read the board!

I've had the same problem all morning - well since about 10.30am. It took me ages to log on last night as well, kept getting the LParkins message.

I have a pretty good idea now what is causing the problem and I am working on a solution.

One thing that I have done to attempt to alleviate the problem is to turn off calculation of "new posts". Bec this is why you thought there were no new posts even though there were. If you click on the new posts icon you will still see all the new posts. Hopefully the new posts indicator will return when a more permanent solution is found.

It has taken 15mins to get this afternoon and kept getting the lparkins message again and it is still painfully slow to load.

It's not just me that it's done this latest trick to then - no fun trying to find the new posts - just slows it down even more

The board is getting on my nerves.
Its so frustrating trying to get on and when you eventually do
takes ages to read and post. I am lucky that i have perminant conection
but anyone who hasn"t are not going to hang around it would cost a fortune.

I agree and when you do get on there are hardly any new posts as no-one can get on to post!

Think you need a bigger server admin!
