Just want to thank everyone who replied to my earlier message.  Did try and reply to everyone individually, but ran out of steam.  All you kinds words do help, and I know the message is, again and again, to get another dog.  I will, but not just yet, need time to finally put my girls to rest and to move on.  Its really a great help reading the messages on Rainbow Bridge, but I always end up crying, but in some strange way feel this is 'cleansing'

I sound such a miserable old sod and wonder why on earth my girls loved me - but thats dogs for you - never see your faults.

Thanks once again, and if/when I do get a doggy friend I shall let champdogs know !
