You asked me to let you know if I found out anything new, well I haven't as far as I can see the standard still reads " No hard and fast rule for length of hair, mole-type coats undesirable" Not being intermate with a mole at the moment I'm not sure what that is, but think a mole has very short velvet like coat, perhaps you can help re. mole. Thanx Jackie, I couldn't come up with anything different either. I suppose I was just very lucky to have a 'proper' coat on my longhaired.

lol...as for Moles, it appears that they have 'fine and silky fur' unless they are Rough-Haired Golden Moles in which case they '...have fur that is harsher in texture than that of the other golden moles'. So it looks like there are no hard and fast rules for moles either :D

Although I would have thought that trying to run round the ring with a mole on the end of a lead would be a bit difficult. Their little legs just wouldnt be able to keep up :D

Think I'd manage as long as the grass wasn't too long! Have you tried judging a Chihuahua in 4" of grass? JH

Running should not be too bad Bec you could always drag it. Its standing it that could be tricky, take your eyes off it for a mo, look down and just a lead sticking out the ground!

Ah, but that will only be the dual purpose moles. The show bred moles will just sit there looking 'pretty' :D
