hello.i am about to import over some dogs from where i originally come from in india called rajapalayam dogs.i know they are recognised by the indian kc but would they be recognised over here as well byu the kc here?
any help appreciated.

No, they aren't I'm afraid. The full list of KC recognised breeds can be found here. Click on the Discover Dogs icon.

I presume that they will have to go in quarantine and no they aren't recognised over here.  You will have to get in touch with our KC, have a copy of your KC's breed description etc.  I can tell you now that it can take a very long time for a breed to be fully recognised and the KC wil ask for quite a few details.  My breed has been in this country now for 13 years and we are on the import register, I for one am glad that we've taken so long to be fully recognised as it hasn't encouraged the wrong type of people to come into the breed.
