My 19 year old daughters best buddie Herbert was put to sleep today.  He was 15 and a half years old.  He had a stroke yesterday.  It was so hard to say goodbye to him as he has been with her for as long as she can remember.  Her dad died 2 years ago and Herbert helped her get through that.  He was her rock. someone who she told all her secrets to (and he never repeated any of them).  I just want to say "Thank you Herbert" you were so special .  Run free now beautiful little man, until we meet again.

There's going to be a new conclave of "oldies" sniffing around rainbow bridge - thinking of you, knowing how much it hurts - try not to be sad that he's gone - be glad that he has had so long with you.
