I always think that (not can't be arsed :D ), but about the IP addy's.  They could just bar the posters IP address. It would prevent repeat offenders or at least make it harder for them to access the board.

I have just joined this site as many that have postings know, i have answered  back many of you,personally i think you are being unfair to what you call trolls, dont really know what you mean by trolls but why have a site that certain topics aggrevate others, what is the point to it??? i am a labradoodle breeder, ex poodle exhibitor and poodle breeder and the amount of nastiness i have encountered because of this is unbelievable , everyone is not going to agree with everyone else, so why the nastiness..champ dogs??? why call it this it makes you think it is a friendly site about dogs in general not just the ones that people agree with...so does that make me a troll.. i dont know what a troll is im afraid!! all im going by is my first impression tonight..not very pleasant either..dog lovers i thought, not what i encountered tonight which im afraid has opened my eyes to certain things..maybe people should learn from the smaller friendlier sites, they could certainly teach this site something about ethics and morals and basic good manners!!! from a totally disgusted new member

Now which is it? *Some* people will come onto a Forum (ALL forums, not just CD) and post something to deliberately stir people up - this is a troll. Other people come on and voice an opinion which several people will disagree with and will enter into a discussion over - this is NOT a troll ..this is debate

You have not encountered any nastiness because of your post, what you HAVE encountered are people who have a different opinion to you and are questioning you about it. You have shouted on that thread and you have been insulting in a couple of posts. I am assuming this is because you felt as though you were under attack but, if you go and read the thread in the cold light of day, as I just have, you will see that no one has been *nasty* to you at all

Champdogs is a very large site with a lot of members, NOT all the members own pedigree dogs, not all the members even own dogs. Not all the members are going to agree on everything. Every single one of us has had one or more heavy discussions on here about a sensitive subject. We all have different opinions on a wide variety of things .....you learn to discuss, not to take things personally and then to move on

Donakell, if you look at the various boards you'll find threads about cats, guinea-pigs, sofas, cars, horses ...

Now fraid ive heard from heaps of others if you want rubbish and abuse join champ dogs ..well i gave it the benefit of the doubt!!!!

The discussion you were recently involved in was a very lengthy one with many a post from yourself so I don't believe you have any justification is saying Champdog discussions are one sided arguements   Nor did I note any posts giving you any abuse .......now whether the posts were rubbish would be a matter of opinion and as I have already pointed out you are entitled to your opinion

While people have disagreed with your opinions I do not believe anyone has been remoted nasty to you.  This is a very well moderated site, if you feel any post has contravened the TOS you have only to draw it to the attention of Admin using the Misc button and they will remove it.  That is the beauty of this site you can rest assured whatever your opinion you will be entitled to hold it without personal abuse but don't expect poeple not to question it

Of course, what we should ALL remember is that not all trolls are faceless guests
