when do you start cleaning their teeth- when I asked the vet he said not yet as he has baby teeth, BUT... surely if I'm gentle and just kind of play with the brush in his mouth can do no harm!!?- Just getting used to it- also this really isn't a health thing , Ollie loves walking, but is totally refusing to do the loo while on walks but rushes back to the garden after the walk (with huge reliefe)! & wee's or Poo's- Is this normal? I take the treats & say all the same things , I think maybe he's too excited at being in the outside world?

Don't knock it, I would be most grateful if my 4 chose not to go when on walks, but waited until they got home! It can be a real pain walking along with several bags of poo and nowhere todeposit it!

I live on the border with another local authority who are brilliant about poo bins. there is one on every green space, and on communal green areas near flats (apartmwents if your in USA). In my LA you are hard pushed to find a bin, though I have been told by the dog warden thatit is acceptable to put your bags in any wheelie bin that is within reach of thepath, as they belong to the council, and not the householder!

You see being a Very new puppy owner I'd never thought about it like that - I go out well equipped with my nice perfumed nappy sacs!! and poop a scoop & really & dried liver, to show him how clever he is & thought that was all part of the exercise / walkies thing was for- a result!

We are very lucky here having doggy bins quite near - before we got Ollie I went for a walk to find as many Poopy bins as I could ( I lead a sad Life) I'd never noticed them before, I did have concerns , as you mentioned about carrying bags of poo around!!

I clean my puppies teeth from the time they have errupted completely.

I recommend to all my buyers when they leave to get the finger toothbrush out when they are getting their adult teeth thru as you don't want them hurt and brush shy because of the extra discomfort of brushing whilst teething.

It is never to early to clean teeth - it is not just the teeth anyway, you should gently brush to gums too

Tally used to be just the same with going to the loo, he'd never go whilst out on the walk. As soon as we returned home he would race down the garden and you could see the relief spread across his face. I worried thinking that we had trained him too well in going to the loo in that one particular spot!! Now though we have a guaranteed number one and two on every walk!

As far as his teeth go, I haven't tried brushing them yet. He has plenty of raggers and the like which I understand do a good job of keeping their teeth clean.
